Stephen Gaston was born in Louisiana and raised in New England. He has been fishing since childhood and most of his fishing experience in New England was freshwater fishing for Bass and Panfish. Vacations into the Poconos is what got the walleye fishing started. Early adulthood led Steve back to the Marshlands of Louisiana. This is where he spent the better part of the time fishing for all the saltwater species of the gulf waters. Steve started coming up to Bull shoals Arkansas in 2004 to find somewhere to retire. It was at this time that he started fishing Bull Shoals as well as Lake Norfork and also started his walleye tournament fishing. He fished on the FLW, PWT, and NWT. Stephen fished four years as a co-angler and six years fishing on the Pro Side of the series. He had the pleasure to learn and fish against some of the best walleye anglers in the country, a lot of techniques which he has adapted to Bull Shoals Lake.
While guiding, Steve wants to not only get the costumers to catch fish but also try to give them something to remember about their time while at the lake with family and friends.
Steve mainly focuses on fishing Bull Shoal's lake for walleye, but he can and does fish for other lake species such as Bass and Pan Fish. He uses many different techniques to suit the water conditions and times of the year.
